Brimley's (Sandhill) Clubtail - Phanogomphus cavillaris - Male
Jones Lake State Park, Bladen County, North Carolina, USA
June 4, 2008
many of these observed at bay lakes in Bladen County over a two-day period. In NC, these are considered Significantly Rare, and had not been reported in the state for 20 years. This is Gomphus cavillaris brimleyi, if someone could add a page for this subspecies.

Moved from Sandhill Clubtail.
