Speyeria species? - Speyeria

Size: 2/3-3/4 inch
I managed to get a closed-winged image of a Speyeria species visiting wildflowers surrounding the parking lot just south of the open access gate to Wright's Lake.

Speyeria species?
It's been brought to my attention by 2 different butterfly experts that this image is that of a Hydaspe Fritillary, a fritillary that is on its last legs and a lifer for me.
