You are correct, Sir!
At first glance, I think it might be
M. stygicus
. I'll see if I can't nail it down down at the lab. Beautiful beetle. Nice find.

My tentative ID was
M. harrisii
, but I wasn't quite sure what "moderately densely punctate" was. Looking at
M. stygicus
, I think that looks about right.
Edit: Looking at your
M. harrisii
post, I can see now that is clearly not what I have.
