I found a pupa under milkweed leaf in the field. (The pupa is of Great Eastern Swallowtail.) After a while (about three weeks) this insect came out of the pupa. The hole on the side of the pupa shell is 5 mm across. The insect itself is about 4~4.5 mm across. About 40 mm in length, including the antennae. Orange red body, head, antennae, legs, and black wings.
