Sympistis mackiei

Sympistis mackiei
Mayfair, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
September 12, 2019
I'm hoping you can help identify this moth. I found it last year and have been looking for a species match all that time. In the Canadian Biodiversity databaseI finally found something almost identical to this moth, Oncocnemis mackiei, but I couldn't find an example in the guide to compare it to. In fact I couldn't find the genus Oncocnemis so I'm wondering if that name has been changed to G. Sympistis. I found this moth nectaring on goldenrod during the day with a group of similar moths. According to what I read O. machiei is common over the prairie provinces.
