Focus on HW below submarginal
In your (Great Spangled) specimen the broad pale submarginal band (between the two concentric rows of dots) looks full/wide.

In Aphrodite, the darker disc color bleeds (diffuses) into this pale submarginal band on the HW below,
especially at the anal area near the tail, making the band look narrow, as in this Aphrodite:
