Diogmites sp. - Diogmites misellus

Diogmites sp. - Diogmites misellus
Anahauc National Wildlife Refuge, Chambers County, Texas, USA
June 7, 2008

Did you
Have a size? May be misellus.

over estimate
Actually I think I'm over estimating the size now, I suspect looking at the cut grass blade its on, that its .75 inches max. That would seem to fit misellus. I also think the red shading at the end of the central strip the guide mentions is present.

Size
I would guess an 1 to 1.5, its was pretty large, thought it was a wasp at first. Was on the edge of a freshwater pond on the edge of an open area.
