Pennsylvania Barklouse for ID - "Double-faced" - Peripsocus subfasciatus
Off Rt. 183 near Appalachian Trail, Berks County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 7, 2020
Size: 3.5 mm
I did a -ah - double take on this "double-faced" looking specimen; another image gives a startling impression of a piggybacked mating pair. On a sheet with UV black light. LATER NOTE - have noticed this is so for many other species.
