Found in my little meadow, filled with wildflowers, for the birds, bees and butterflies.

The Sphaerophoria with the ye
The Sphaerophoria with the yellow stripe at sides of the thoracic dorsum which reach the post alar callus can only be separated on the male genitalia.
I recommend "Field Guide to the Flower Flies of Northeastern North America" by Jeffrey H. Skevington and Michelle M. Locke et al.
Keep up the good work. I hope for many more of your pictures.
