Weird beetle like bug with eyebrows

Size: About an inch
They showed up Monday and swarm my maple tree for about 6 hours midday and then they leave. They are a coppery brown color and don't see pincers.

Looks like...
It's a Beetle of some kind, but I'm not sure that we can get a reliable ID from your image.
possibly something like: Sandalus niger
