Polyphemus Moth - Antheraea polyphemus - male

Polyphemus Moth - Antheraea polyphemus - Male
University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, USA
June 2, 2008
Size: Between 5-6 in. wingspan
Just hoping I have the ID right.

This was a very active animal, clearly tired, though & very disoriented (It flew smack into the ground several times & flew strait into the street lamp that attracted it. Ouch!)

It was after finding this moth that I started finding other giant Silk Moths on campus.
