this is not a typical looking
this is not a typical looking illinois cicada. it looks like it could be lyricen but the pronotome seems to have an odd marking and the mesatome seems a (bit) to brown. i think i can rule out T.pruinosus,T.linnei T,pronotalis.and T.tibicen due to eye color! givin its location i am going to say T.canicularis.however if that is the case than this can not be 2 inches and should be almost 1 inch
