Melanocanthon bispinatus

Melanocanthon bispinatus
Carolina Beach State Park, New Hanover County, North Carolina, USA
June 8, 2008
Size: 6 mm
Size estimated--it was quite petite. Crossing my fingers, I believe I can see the two spurs at the apex (end) of the posterior tibia (lower left on this photo), which makes it Melanocanthon bispinatus according to Phil's key (1). The clypeus has four teeth (quadridentate), agreeing with that key as well. Details and overall form seem to agree with the other photo we have here to date:

Thanks for confirmation, Phil--see comments. Our first live specimen on BugGuide.
