Moth - Parabagrotis sulinaris
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA

Size: 20 mm
Another moth popped out today. I don't think I got any shots of its chrysalis. This one had a small brown chrysalis that we found under the ground. It looked very similar to except that this one was around 15mm.

The 20 mm measurement on the moth is from head to tip of wing as it is resting above.

Parabagrotis sulinaris looks close.

I would agree with Parabagrotis sulinaris. The size, color, and pattern match well with the species description. Did you happen to take a photo from the front to show pattern?

Sorry, my description wasn't clear. Something similar to this one.
The amount of and ratio of colors is sometimes helpful with this genus.
