Stinkbug Salsa

I have just had a conversation with a friend in southern Mexico (Oaxaca) who related that they roast or grind up stinkbugs to eat and especially enjoy them in salsa. She sent me a drawing of the one they use --it looked like Chinavia hilaris but I couldn't find any information on its southernmost range. Does anyone know? Or could any stinkbug be substituted in the recipe? Her comments were that it makes the salsa very spicy without the use of peppers. Just curious!

According to iNat...
...C. hilaris is indeed found in Mexico. However, this article says that any Pentatomid or Coreid will do. You try it first. :)

Ha!
Actually, if I were to travel or if my friend were to visit and do the cooking I might venture a taste -- but I'm not adventurous enough to try the recipe! :) Thanks for taking the time to look it up!
