Chrysomela - Chrysomela knabi

Chrysomela - Chrysomela knabi
Thornhill, Ontario, Canada
June 11, 2008
Using the Audubon Field Guide to Insects and Spiders, it looks like this is Chrysomela lapponica. There is no guide page for this species. Can someone confirm my ID so we can start one? There are some similar looking images in the Chrysomela section that may need a new home too.

Chrysomela knabi perhaps? Was
Chrysomela knabi perhaps? Was it found on willow?

guess not
C.lapponica on an European webpage looks different - note the all black pronotum (reproduced in other images).

strange
In the Audubon guide the orange on the pronotum is quite clear. I'm fairly certain that this was found on a young cottonwood tree.
