What are the smaller red ants? - Aphaenogaster tennesseensis
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
September 29, 2020
What are the smaller red ants? Pretty sure the larger ant being dragged is a Camponotus chromaiodes - ferruginous carpenter ant but let me know if I am wrong. The larger ant seemed to be dead but 2 and 3 of the smaller ants still had a hard time making progress moving it.
