Definitely not an ID...
...but this bug almost looks like a predaceous diving beetle (Dysticidae)! Not sure if these beetles ever wander far from the water, though... Could easily be the wrong family - please wait for a beetle expert to comment.

This is a giant water scavenger beetle, family Hydrophilidae. Long palps are often mistaken for antennae....This is probably the species Hydrophilus triangularis.
