That is what I wondered....
Due to the eye arrangement as best I could tell, but to me, the leg patterns more resembled Pisa*uridae. It really was a BIG spider, (bigger than any wolfie I've ever seen) so maybe it is in the genus Hog*na?

Leg patterns very widely among spiders, so they aren't always a good indicator of Family.

The eyes are definitely Lycosid.

Could be a Hogna, they tend to be large.
