This page is for specimens similar to Holcocera chalcofrontella. In a phylogenetic analysis of all barcoded Holcocera with public data on BOLD run October 2020, the four BINs (BOLD:AAA8504, BOLD:AAA8505, BOLD:AAI1931, BOLD:ABZ2738) including specimens labeled as chalcofrontella resolved as a clade; two additional BINs including similar-looking specimens (BOLD:AAG8599, BOLD:AAH6933) are more distantly related.

The specimens on this page should be considered as belonging to an informal grouping of similar species that may be polyphyletic.
