Size: Just under 1/8 inch
50 found clustered under damp bag in chicken coop area. Collected and placed in white tray for photos. Most flew away, 2 breeding , several grooming themselves.

Female Scatopse
These are common right now on goldenrod flowers (on which adults feed) and around any sources of decay (which the larvae feed on, such as manure or compost.)
