Tenthredo maxima is found in Utah and looks like this specimen. However, it has three yellow abdominal segments and this specimen appears to have only 2 which is very similar to Tenthredo maculata. Help with ID appreciated.

Note that T. maculata is a European species (England, Scotland, & Wales) and isn't known from the Americas.
