Lady Beetle?? - Chilocorus circumdatus

Lady Beetle?? - Chilocorus circumdatus
Apopka, Orange County, Florida, USA
June 14, 2008
This is from the same group that I have been trying to identify for the past week or so. They were on a plant I believe is called a Palmetto that was infested with scale. I THINK THE SCALE IS ATTACKING THEM!!

I am confused because some of them are white like this onE and some are shiny red?? Some people on the guide have said maybe Chilocorini (i'm guessing that is supposed to mean the twice stabbed lady beetle), but i'm not really sure about that I haven't really seen anything that really signifies that.
