Attracted to black light. I retrieved this photo of this tiny colored insect out of curiosity when I discovered it on the photo of another moth. Now, two months later, I remembered it as I browsed the gelechioids on the MPG plates and saw matching images. Due to not having been in focus, it's a blurry photo of the moth, but because BugGuide has photo from Florida (yet), I post it anyway.

Moved from Exoteleia chillcotti. The move from 1799 Exoteleia chillicotti was prompted by my discovery elsewhere on the MPG plates of an almost identical looking moth with a very different Hodges number, 1840 Exoteleia pinifoliella. BugGuide presently considers those two forming a "species group."
