Mite?

Mite?
TAMPA, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA

The quality is not good enough to much with, but, can you confirm that this is a spider? This is on a Magnolia seed pod that was laying on the ground.

Mesostigmata
This is a predatory mite belonging to the group Mesostigmata. It is most likely from the family Macrochelidae or Parasitidae (the latter of which, despite the name, are not parasitic). Views of the ventral side are needed to determine to what family it belongs.

Cheers,
Heather

Thanks Heather
