Parhelophilus divisus? - Parhelophilus divisus - female

Parhelophilus divisus? - Parhelophilus divisus - Female
Howland Island, Northern Montezuma Wildlife Management Area, Cayuga County, New York, USA
June 22, 2020
Size: 9.5mm
This fly was observed resting on white waterlily (Nymphaea odorata) in an emergent marsh. It was collected after photographs were taken. Upon examination, I keyed it out to Parhelophilus divisus with Skevington and Locke's 2019 Princeton Guide to Flower Flies of Northeastern NA. I am seeking confirmation (or revision) since according to the guide this is a rare species and no Bugguide page exists for it yet. Included are photos of the living specimen and photographs of the pinned individual, showing general coloration on the thorax, abdomen, and hind femur which seems to match the species, a wide vertex (as compared to P.flavifacies), and two angles which depict the identifying character of "female metabasitarsus with a double row of short black bristles along anterior edge." The character in question was examined thoroughly (until my eyes hurt!) - the rows of bristles are surrounded by golden pile. The character did not remotely resemble the other options for female metabasitarsal bristles or coloration in the guide. This specimen was collected as part of an M.S. study on wetland pollinators; it would be much appreciated if the ID could be confirmed or corrected. I can take any other angles that may be needed for ID. Thank you!

Moved from Syrphid Flies.

The thin central longitudinal
The thin central longitudinal stripe on the thoracic dorsum is a good feature too. I would agree that this was Parhelophilus divisus. I have sent it to Dr. Martin Hauser for his opinion.
