Beetle - Epicauta straba
San Diego County, California, USA

Size: approx. 1.5 cm
These beetles were found on Boundary Goldenbush (Ericameria brachylepis) in the Cleveland National Forest, near Kitchen Creek Road. Elevation approx 4,000ft. At first I thought they might be Margined Blister Beetles, but saw no sightings in Calif. iNaturalist suggested contacting BugGuide.
