Same Gall, Different Result

Same Gall, Different Result
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA
October 28, 2020
Size: 2.5mm
They weren't fully developed yet, so I tried to sweep as many as I could from the ground into a container using a leaf. There are 17 pupae in the container, and I'm not sure if I missed any due to how small they were.

I hope the change in location doesn't affect them too much, as I plan to take a picture when they are done maturing.

Wasps from gall
Now that the adults have emerged, I'd like to double check whether these are indeed gall wasps, which is where the photo was filed, or some other kind that decided to move in.

The original gall should belong to Andricus quercuscalifornicus.
