Moose Bog, Wenlock WMA, Essex County, Vermont, USA
July 14, 2017
During the 2017 annual meeting of the northeast chapter of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas, I visited Moose Bog with Jason Forbes and Ken Lebo. It was a cool, damp day; we saw more birds than odonates. Toward the end, I noticed this speck racing around on my bird camera (the DSLR with the telephoto lens), so took some photos with my bug camera (pocket P&S set to macro). Quality is marginal as the camera was on maximum magnification, and even then I had to crop these photos to the extreme. Do I have the right genus here? Any clue as to species?
