Ants - Camponotus americanus

Size: 5mm (3/16")
1st pic : the ant hill.
2nd pic : the actual hole. Interesting how the "lining" appears to be woven.
3rd pic : one of the ants.
4th pic : I just thought it was interesting how this ant was carrying a very small piece of dirt.
Please help with ID.
