Ephemerella
Hi Karen-

Rather than being a male subimago, based on the extended length of its fore tarsi, I believe it to be a male imago of genus Ephemerella.

Although Ephemerellids (members of mayfly family Ephemerellidae) don't have more than one generation per year, I believe that some of them overwinter in their nymphal lifestage, while others do not, which results in both spring and fall emergence.

Ephemerella
Thanks, Roger, that's helpful. The wings looked opaque to me, and that's why I thought it was a subimago.

Yes
Me too, until spotting the fore tarsi in your second photo. :-)
