Wasp for ID - Anisepyris - female

Wasp for ID - Anisepyris - Female
Temple Hills, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
November 5, 2020
A Bethylid species? The metallic green of this one was even more striking in person than in the photo.

Moved
Moved from Bethylidae.

A female of Anisepyris
It must be a female of Anisepyris. There are many many species in American regions.

We need to examine many tiny characteristics such as number of mandibles and ratio of body segments to identify as species level.

You can check a representative paper of Evans: https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/16214646#page/120/mode/1up

Many thanks for your beautiful picture and email.

Moved for expert attention
