Coccidae, scale & questions - Coccus
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
October 19, 2020
October 16, 2020: collected leaf mines on Green-headed coneflower, Rudbeckia laciniata, but they were evacuated
However,
October 19, 2020: lots of life on this leaf: scale, perhaps Brown Soft Scale, mites, perhaps red mite eggs, and a parasitoid wasp hanging out on top of a scale.

Questions:
1. are these Soft Brown Scales?
2. are the small divits with red spheres mite eggs in mite nests?
3. is the rather large droplet on the upper side of a scale honeydew?
4. what are the (for want of the proper terms), flaps, pore and filaments? The filaments moved very slowly.

November 18, 2020: cleaning out the jar found more but different wasps
