is what I wrote at the time, by which I assume I did not measure it but only guessed. This is certainly a realistic size for this genus. I have many subsequent unposted Omosita sp. photos, some undoubtedly next to a millimeter rule. I may take a look at them later and add my findings here.

By the way, I have never found Omosita in association with flower blooms. They are typically found on carrion or bone sections that still contain marrow. If you know someone who gives their dog large bones to chew on, tap one of the older bones sharply on a flat rock, board or sidewalk to dislodge any Omosita inside the marrow chamber.
