Dark-based antennae and the protrusion between the antennae should be distinctive to genus (the other 2 eastern species differ in various traits:
M. emuncta
males have a smaller tubercle between the antennae, and
M. dolicharthra
has conspicuous brown markings on either side of the prothorax).
If you happen to find any more, it would be great to be able to have some local photos of the facial markings from the front (they're rather distinct in both species so would be valuable whichever species is photographed).

Correction. Garland's sketches of
Meleoma signoretti
shows a very prominent modification to the head, as an extension between the antennae.

I'd originally thought I was just seeing things weirdly, but Garland's work demonstrates that's not the case. If you happen to find more, the facial markings are fairly distinctive as well (especially with the females, which lack the extension from the head).

. I'd think fairly definitive between
Chrysopa nigricornis
and
Ceraeochrysa lineaticornis
. Do you have a photo showing (or recall proportionally) the length of the antennae? or one from a slight side angle?
