Euxoa pluralis? - Rhizagrotis stylata

Euxoa pluralis? - Rhizagrotis stylata
Medora, Billings County, North Dakota, USA
June 17, 2020
Size: ~20 mm TL
After going thru the MPG plate series many times, Euxoa pluralis is the only species I can suggest for this one. The inner end of the reniform spot does not have dark filling typical of this species, so I am not absolutely certain of the suggested ID. I tried to squeeze this photo in at the end of the day as I was losing light and ended up being really disappointed with the quality of this image. Should have waited till morning!

OK
I updated both of the species pages. Please have a look and let me know if I missed something. Thanks!

Thanks Bob!
Thanks for correcting Bob and for updating the species pages!

Thanks Leslie!

According to PNW in 2013: "The orange and gray forewing color and pattern of this species are diagnostic". ---> Now we know a little better. The PM line doesn't seem to show up in most of those other shots of that species.
I will have to update the See Also info.
