Rhodobaenus pustulosus

Rhodobaenus pustulosus
Arizona, USA
June 18, 2008
Size: 13 mm
The elusive third species...Rhodobaenus pustulosus. I have no access to create a new species, so I've placed this in the Rhodobaenus section.

I used this source for identification:
Vaurie, P. 1981. Revision of Rhodobaenus. Part 2, Species in North America (Canada to Panama) (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Rhynchophorinae). Bulletin of the AMNH ; v. 171, article 2.

Arizona is big
and has several very different habitat areas. Would you be able to be a little more specific about the location?

I'm sorry, but I do not know
I'm sorry, but I do not know more specifically where in Arizona this was collected. This specimen was sent to me for identification.

Moved from Rhodobaenus.
