can someone help identify this thing my daughter found in the attic

Pisaurina mira
This is a washed-out version. It's my information that this spider also comes in an all grey version...making it dimorphic.

Nursery web spider.
I can say with confidence that this is a spider in the family Pisauridae. They are frequently confused with wolf spiders because they can be very large, and normally do not spin webs. Females do spin a protective shelter for their egg sac and the spiderlings that hatch, guarding the whole affair tenaciously. They are not, however dangerous to humans.

Wolf Spider ?
This maybe some kind of wolf spider. It is not a brown recluse or a black widow, so it is not dangerous if that is what you wanted to know.
