Found at White Rock lake, near Sunset bay pier on what I believe is goldenrod. Only shot I got. possible to get species or gender from this? Should be polistes for genus.

I think that he probably belongs in Polistes carolina or rubiginosus, but hold on for an expert.

I was thinking one of those two but since I don't have a shot of the cheek, figured I'd be doing good to have it narrowed down to the 2.
