Perhaps...
...I'll let it stick around for a while. If it's what you suspect this to be, that would make a new species for the guide. Except I can't take any further shots for confirmation, since the insect got eaten by fungus! I think the forest canopy is dominated by maple anyway (though I haven't bothered to keep staring upwards).

is difficult ... I'm not sure if the plant host is correct (vs. incidentally rested upon), and I don't have the specimen anymore, either. Moved from

Sorry...
...I can't ID this one beyond genus. It looks like A. putillus, but that species rarely exceeds 5mm in length and is associated with maple.
