Bee/Fly thing - Cuterebra emasculator

Bee/Fly thing - Cuterebra emasculator
Near a body of water, Southeastern wisconsin County, Wisconsin, USA
June 19, 2008
Size: One inch
Looked and acted a lot like a fly. Rubbed its legs together and over it's eyes like a fly. About the size of a bumblebee. Never seen anything like it in this area. Didn't see any stinger.
