Cuterebra emasculator
These are photos of C. emasculator, a parasite of chipmunks in WI. They only have one generation a year and adults only live for 5-10 days so lucky to get to see it.

I agree.
Looks like the genus Cuterebra. Seems to be a good year for them:-) The adult flies are short-lived (they have no mouths, so are limited by the fat reserves accumulated in the larval stage) and seldom seen.
