Beneath a small, round of Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) that had been laying in the woods for a couple of years. The only individual noted. Location: The Robert B. Gordon Natural Area (West Chester University)> Habitat: Closed canopy, secondary hardwood forest. Canopy dominated by Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera). This area was an apple orchard until the late 1960's-early 70's.
