End-of-Year Donation Match--calling all editors

Obviously, if you are an editor, you are dedicated to the BugGuide mission. I made my contribution this morning. Am posting here to encourage all editors to make a donation as well. Details below.

For the last two weeks in December all donations will be matched up to $2500 thanks to a generous donor! Go to the donation page to give.
Current needs
Update December 15: in October we (John VanDyk and team) kicked off a push to get BugGuide closer to launching on our new platform which will be more mobile-friendly, have better search, and have image ranking.
There is currently a student working on bringing artificial intelligence to BugGuide. Each $12 you give pays for an hour of their time.
During busy times you may see an insect with a coffee cup instead of seeing BugGuide. That is because the main database server can't keep up with the load. A modern database server is about $4500.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the year end fund drive. BugGuide received $8,007! This includes the generous donor match of $2,500.
