Collected from large, soggy, rotting mushrooms sprouting from a wood pile. I was sure this was a hydro*philid until I ran across this image on the U. of Wisconsin site. That huge scutellum cinched it for me. Checking Don Chandler's list at UNH, Pallodes Pallidus is indeed recorded for New Hampshire.
