brownish fly with bristly abdomen - male

brownish fly with bristly abdomen - Male
Canoe Creek WMA , Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
August 4, 2020
Size: ~7 mm
If I had to guess I'd say this is a tachinid fly but I didn't find any close matches when I browsed through various possibilities on BugGuide's pages. I don't have anything close to the color match in my parasitic fly photo files either so I suppose it could be a flesh fly.

Dexiini
Thanks so much for determining that this is a tachinid fly in the Tribe Dexiini, John! This is the first tachinid fly from the Dexiini tribe that I've found.
