Size: 3 mm
Elevation 700', GPS = 38.8198, -121.1173. Rural residential area in pines and oaks with small streams and private ponds.

Taken from 20 watt UV light bucket trap.

I keyed this out to Hydrochus excavatus, in Worthington (1) but that was a key to Florida species and the given range did not include CA so doubtful.

I see few posted here are moved to species but I can at least put CA on the distribution map for the genus.
