Spider With 'Strange' Green Sac Attached - Pardosa xerampelina - female

Spider With 'Strange' Green Sac Attached - Pardosa xerampelina - Female
48.16352N 53.96681W (WGS84), Clarenville, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada
June 20, 2008
Size: 12 mm body length
I've never seen a spider with this sort of thing attached. I'm hoping for an ID on the spider and an explination of what that thing is that's attached to it. If I had to guess I'd say it's an egg sac but I've never seen a sac attached to the spider.

I have recieved a positive ID for this spider from Dr. Roger Pickavance.  Based on Dr. Pickavance's microscopic examination of the specimen that I collected after I photographed it, Dr. Pickavance identified this as: "Pardosa xerampelina adult female carrying egg cocoon"

Pardosa sp.
Judging by the leg spines, I'd say this is one of the Thin-legged Wolf Spiders from Genus pardosa.

It Is An Egg Sac
This is a wolf spider (Lycosidae) of some type and they carry their egg sacs with their spinnerets. When the babies hatch they all climb on mom's back. Look here http://bugguide.net/node/view/1967
