The body structure reminds me of a snout beetle, but I'm not seeing a long 'snout' here. Nice braids, though :)

Weevil.
Yes, this is a weevil. Coincidentally we are working on weevils for our field guide (Kaufman series), so I recognize it by the elbowed antennae (accounting for the 'hairdo"). Might be in the subfamily of broadnosed weevils, but not sure, since a significant number of weevils have an abbreviated rostrum.
