Mesostigmata?

Mesostigmata?
Tyler, Smith County, Texas, USA
January 15, 2021
Size: <1mm
Found in a laboratory setting as a stowaway in an experimental chamber for attine ants. The chamber consisted of a fungal garden/underground section and a substrate/plant/exterior simulation section. The mite was found within the substrate/plant section. Believed to have originally came from rose petals given as substrate for the attine ants.

Don't know if this can even be identified much further based on the resolution of these images.

yes, Mesostigmata
You're right, it's a mesostigmatan of some sort. The general gestalt suggests Parasitidae (which aren't parasitic, despite the name), but you'd need higher resolution photos of both dorsal and ventral sides.

Cheers,
Heather
